An innovative leader in the fitness industry since 1979, The Sports Club Company develops, owns and operates luxury sports and fitness complexes on both coasts. The Sports Club/LA in Boston opened in September 2001 and encompasses several unique health, beauty and dining entities.

The anchor of the destination is the private membership sports and fitness complex. Located on Avery Street across from the Boston Common, The Sports Club/LA is a 106,000 square foot luxury club featuring over 40 different fitness and recreational options under one roof.

The Sports Club/LA features a 10,000 square foot Weight Training Gym, a regulation size, Full Court Gymnasium for basketball, four International Squash Courts, five Group Exercise Studios, a Lap Swimming Pool, a 100 piece Cardiovascular Center with each piece of equipment featuring a Broadcast Vision personal TV, a Flexibility/Balance Center, a BodyArt Pilates™ Studio and an extensive BodyMind Program. SC/LA offers members access to private trainers, as well as numerous classes, such as REV, Yoga, Pilates, Cardio Box, and Gyrokinesis®, taught by highly experienced fitness professionals. Steam Rooms and Saunas are available in each locker room and a Locker Room Concierge will provide fresh towels and sundry items to members.

The Sports Club/LA also features Splash™ destination CitySpa which offers traditional spa services with medical rejuvenation therapies. In order to provide a multitude of services under one roof, The Sports Club/LA offers access to numerous health professionals including a nutritionist, chiropractor, internist, dentist, acupuncturist, among others. Other attractions at The Sports Club/LA include Salon Fontana, a full service salon for hair and nail care, and; blu, a fine dining room and café operated by The Sapphire Restaurant Group.
